ABOUT ME
Welcome
I love people, and I love my work. While my real estate specialization is marketing & sales of new homes, I would love to help you with any of your needs. Contact me if you are thinking about buying or selling , building or developing – or if you simply need the name & phone number for a great mortgage lender or pet-sitter.
 My
History
In 1996 I moved to Wilmington, NC, from
Los Angeles, California, where I worked in a boutique real estate firm
in
Beverly
Hills, dealing
primarily
with buyers and sellers of high-end properties, including many well-known
celebrities. My husband Joe is an actor who is most well-known for
his seventeen year portrayal of Dr. Neil Curtis on NBC’s daytime drama
Days
of Our Lives.
My
Dogs
In addition to my passion for real estate (and my husband, of course), my great passion is dogs. I love animals! Nothing makes me happier than playing with a dog, and nothing upsets me more than seeing an abused, neglected or homeless animal. I currently have three large dogs, all adopted from local shelters as adults. Shadow, Ariel and Mulligan teach me so much about unconditional love , and they enrich my life. I am blessed to have them share my home and life.
Giving
Back I feel very strongly about volunteering and community service – giving back to the community you live in. Much of my spare time is spent helping to educate people to the joys and responsibilities of sharing life with a companion animal. I currently volunteer my time with the New Hanover Humane Society, appe aring regularly on WECT's Friday morning Carolina in the Morning “Pet of the Week” spot , and have served on their Board of Directors, as Recording Secretary and Assistant Newsletter Editor. I also support & volunteer for Carolina Canines for Service, a wonderful organization providing service dogs for the disabled at no cost to the recipient . I have volunteered in several local political campaigns, and I travel with my husband to support and participate in charity golf tournaments across the country, raising money for children's organizations and medical facilities.
After hurricanes Katrina & Rita hit my home state of Louisiana in 2005, I began volunteering with Noah's Wish, and I plan to continue that service indefinitely.
I believe strongly in being an active and productive part of my business community, too. I am an active member of the Wilmington-Cape Fear Home Builders Association and Sales & Marketing Coun cil and have served on all of their volunteer committees, including Special Events. I have also participated in the Greater Wilmington Chamber of Commerce Annual Resource Campaign since 2001.
I am grateful to have been recognized for my work and community service, and am proud of these awards, including the 2004 Cathy Clark Spirit Award from the Homebuilders Association and the MAX! Award from the Sales & Marketing Council.
